Pogo is a 10 years old but a young dog at heart. He had been in a loving home from the time he was a puppy, but unfortunately his owner had to go into a nursing home. Pogo has adjusted to shelter life amazingly well. He loves his stuffed animals and squeaky toys and gets along well with the resident shelter cat. Pogo spends his days with a pack of smaller dogs and pups. He does well with most dogs, but would love to be the ONLY dog. Pogo is quite the goofy fella. He loves to rub his head against your leg, to beg for pets, he always plops himself down in front of the water bowl before taking a drink, and he will spend all day toting his stuffed animals around...if he hasn't chewed them up yet! Pogo has such a sweet nature about him, when it comes to people. He happily greets everyone, even kids, that come through the gates. He would love to go to a home, where he can have someone around most of the time. His previous owner was his whole world and we have no doubt that the same will be true for his next family! Pogo would make the right person an amazing companion. Our adoption process:It is our goal to match each animal with the most compatible home, based on their personality and temperament. In order to do this we ask that all potential adopters fill out an adoption interview, as well as talk with a staff member about what they are looking for in a new pet. By doing this we can better match adoptee with an adopter. Resulting in forever homes!
